A gorgeous pear! The Starkrimson has bright red skin and a texture that is crisp and less grainy than other pears. It’s perfect for eating fresh or pairing with a nice cheese.
Bred in Florence, Italy in 1956 this delicious pear is medium in size with a green to yellow skin and accents of red blush. It is a juicy, sweet pear with undertones of tartness.

The Bartlett is the most popular pear to eat and can. They have a beautiful green skin and can often go from ripe to over ripe quickly. The best way to ripen them up, (like with all pears) is to leave them at room temperature.
Originating France, in the 1800’s, this short, round pear, is picked while it is green in September. As it ripens, it turns to a soft, pale green color and is soft, juicy and mild in flavor.

Their long and elegant neck widens gradually into to a full rounded base. This pear looks similar to a Russett, but Bosc become sweeter and more flavorful earlier in the ripening process.

Like the Green Bartlett pear, the Red Bartlett pear is large and some-what squatty in shape. It has a thin skin and when fully ripened, this yellow fruit turns bright red. They are available August through January.
With a silhouette identical to the Green D’Anjou, the Red D’Anjou is just as easy to identify by their egg-shaped appearance. The color varies from pear to pear, but generally they are a beautiful dark maroon or burgundy.

Known as Doyenné Du Comice, the Comice has earned the nickname, “Queen of the Pear.” They have a delicate skin and most often are seen wrapped with care in paper. Appearing stubby, they have a thick neck and yellow flesh with a red blush.

Known for its tall, elongated neck and firm, dense flesh, the Concorde originated from joining the Conference and Comice varieties. This pear has a vanilla-sweet flavor and a firm texture that holds up well when baking, grilling or poaching. It is beautiful golden green and often times have a golden yellow russeting in spots.

Taylor’s Gold pears have cinnamon russetted skin and are almost round, with a short neck. They are exceptionally sweet and juicy, with a tender texture that will melt in your mouth!

This pear looks almost identical to a Bartlett pear, but instead of having green skin tone, it has a golden tone. The skin is a bit tougher than the Bartlett and it is a delight to eat right off the tree or can.

The Orca resembles a large Bartlett pear and has a yellow skin and carmine blush. This fruit is notably large and absolutely delicious. These pears are great for eating fresh, canning and drying.
